Capable of executing workflow, routing communications, and managing user presence information,
The Endogy Presence Server represents the core of the Endogy Presence Platform. Its unique ability
to create, route, and track business activities of all types make it an ideal tool for realizing
better distribution of information.
Total Presence Management -
The EPS is built to manage a person's total digital profile - not just usernames and passwords,
but current and ongoing work status, from what's being worked on now to skill and capacities built
up from previous projects.
The EPS stores Extended Presence information
in an open XML format that can be queried through a number of secure interfaces. The Endogy Presence Server
has the capacity to track and report upon presence information at the task level, insuring that all relevant
business process decisions are represented in presences throughout the organization.
Open Integration -
The Endogy Presence Server operates easily alongside existing infrastructure because it uses open standard
protocols for data storage including XML. The EPS can receive and transmit presence information and message
payloads in a number of different ways, according to existing demands.
Data inside the EPS is stored and routed according to open standards (XML, XSL, RSS) to allow for communication
with a wide variety of existing back-office systems such as payroll and human resources. Communication is possible
through several protocols, including raw socket, ssl, http, https.
Flexible Modeling -
Dynamic data typing in the EPS allows you to add new information to a presence or profile easily. As business rules
change, the EPS can be configured to serve in new capacities quickly and without additional programming.
Flexible modeling also means that the EPS can support tracking and routing of custom information types from
legacy systems. In this way, the EPS can act as a hedge against system obsolesence.
Ready-Built Solution -
The EPS comes standard with the most common business activity types (e.g. tasks, events, surveys) so that
you don't need to configure them to start using the server. Additionally, the
Workflow Library gives you access to many standard business workflows
which you can modify to suit your needs.
